A Day in the Life
- In outpatient settings, most nurses work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

- Assessments, pre and post-op instructions, vital signs, collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals, patient education, etc.
- Common Medication Classes
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), Acetaminophen, Antidepressants, Anticonvulsants, Corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), Osteoporosis treatment, Muscle relaxants, Viscosupplementation, Opioid pain relivers (limited use)
- Common Patient Diagnoses/Problems
- Total joint replacement, hip pain, knee pain, spine pain, sports medicine, fractures, shoulder pain, hand and wrist pain, foot and ankle pain, etc.
