A Day in the Life
- Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts
- Patient Population
- Adults with cancer undergoing cancer treatment and palliative care and those with hematology disorders.
- Job Responsibilities
- Physical assessment, intake, patient education, medication administration (including chemotheraoy), blood prodeuct administration, etc.
- Common Medications
- Cyclophosphamide, Eribulin, Taxanes, Methotrexate, 5-fluorouracil, Capecitabine, Gemcitabine, Platinum, Vinorelbine, Anthrayclines, anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, thrombolytic agents, etc.
- Common Diagnoses
- Any kind of cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, pancreatic, breast, prostate, skin, lung, colon, etc..), hemophilia, sickle-cell anemia.
